As His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori the Executive Governor of Delta State hits the ground running, there are indications that he is set to appoint Odigie Daniel Odinigwe, Son of Chief Mrs Nkem Okwuofu as Commissioner from Aniocha North local government area in few days following the constitution of the Delta State House of Assembly which commenced seating on 27th June, 2023.

Investigation by our reliable source reveals that Chief Mrs Nkem Okwuofu has been lobbying the Governor and many leaders stating that she would want her son to be appointed as Commissioner because she is retiring from politics. However, the feelers we’re gathering from leaders and youths in the local government shows they’re are not disposed to the plan since Mr. Odigie hails from Edo State since his father is from there. The immediate past Commissioner for youths, Mr. Ifeanyi Egwuyenga who served as Commissioner for about 6 years is also lobbying to return as Commissioner under Gov. Oborevwori’s administration.

A seasoned legal practitioner and Senior advocate of Nigeria, Andrew Odum was spotted in strategic meetings with leaders lobbying to be appointed Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State due to his efforts in the election petition tribunal proceedings.

Others fingered for appointment as Commissioners are Chief Darlington Ijeh from Oshimili South, Engr. Emma Ejiofor from Aniocha South, Rt. Hon. Gana Gana from Patani, Barr. Eugene Uzum from Ika North East, Anslem Nzete from Ndokwa West, Otunba Nick Ovuokporie from Isoko South, Mr. Isioma Okonta from Ika South, Mr. Hope George, Fred Latimore Oghnesivbe and many others.

We will bring you more report as we track activities in the State under this administration.
